Alice was a devoted and loving mother to Julius R. (Denise) Rice and adoring grandmother to Steve Rice, Debbie (Kevin) Rice Bryan, Angie (John) Rice Rivera, Bill (Kaycee) Rice, Dondra (Larry) Burroughs Pasternak, Marty (Debbie) Burroughs, Chloe (Bill) Boisevert Wahl, Nadine Boisevert, and Guy Boisevert. She was a great-grandmother of 27 and a great-great grandmother of 16.
A resident of Fort Walton Beach for 83 years, Alice drove a school bus for Okaloosa County for 27 years. During that time she drove emotionally handicapped children; she had so many fond memories of her kids. After retiring, she met her soul mate, Raymond "Frenchie" Boisevert, they lived there and were married for 10 years before he passed. It was in 1997, that Alice followed her only son, Julius, to reside in Crestview, Fla. She lived with her little dog, "Skipper," until he passed in 2000. She loved Crestview and had no desire to move elsewhere.
Mother and grandmother to all that knew and loved her laughter and her zest for life. She will be truly missed.
A visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road, N.E., Fort Walton Beach, FL. Funeral Service will be held Friday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home.
