Gering, NE -- The funal of Gerald G. Hesselgesser, 58, of 74 Nelson Drive, Gering, who died March 14, in the Scottsbluff hospital was at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, in the Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel at Scottsbluff. The Revs. Gordon Patterson and M. Thomas Perkins officiated.
Burial was in the West Lawn Cemetery at Gering.
Gerald was born September 19, 1922 in Loup County, son of Glen and Minnie Burg Hesselgesser. He graduated from Taylor High School in 1939. He worked for attorneys Alder and Croughwell and in the Taylor post office. He was in the Army Air Corps from 1943-1945. On January 1, 1948 he married Wilma Grace Leach at Sargent and they lived at Taylor, Lingle, Wyoming, New Castle, Wyoming before moving to Scottsbluff, Nebraska in 1953. He was office manager for the Panhangle Coop. He was listed in the 1976 edition of Who's Who in the Midwest. He was a member of Accountants Association, and the Trinity Methodist Church at Gering.
Survivors include his wife: daughter Mrs. Theresa Blake of Tyler, Texas; and sister Mrs. Vera Becker of Burwell, Nebraska.
