Born in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Lovelace Ware. She was a homemaker and a farmer. She belonged to Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lawrence Bell, and a son, Bobby Bell.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Willodene "Dean" Bell and Gresham W. "Joe" and Ruth Bell; a daughter, Geneva Bell Dedmon; a daughter-in-law, Janis Bell; and a brother, Hunter Ware; grandchildren, Phyllis Brackett and her husband, Carroll, Glenda Smith and her husband, Mike, Douglas Bell, Donald Bell and his wife, Pam, Gary Bell and his wife, Jennie, Becky Markham, and Garry Bell and his wife Melinda, all of Kings Mountain, and James "Jimmy" Dedmon and his wife, Cindy, of Salisbury; 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
