EDNA—Cecil Branham Hensley, 84, of Edna died Thursday, July 6, 1995.

She was born Aug. 14, 1910, in Morales to the late R.E. and Daisy Cooper Flourney. She married the late Walter Branham on June 15, 1925, in Victoria. The homemaker was a member of First Baptist Church in Edna.

Survivors: daughters, Dolores Hines of Ahita Springs, La., and Sharon Holloway of Friendswood; son, R.E. Branham of Morales; sister, Mildred Guinn of Kerrville; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by: husband; son, W.L. “Penny” Branham; and parents.

Services: 3 p.m. Monday,[ Jul. 10,] Slavik Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. Ray Hines officiating.

Note: There are discepancies regarding the spelling of Cecil’s maiden name. Her birth certificate uses the Flournoy spelling, but her obituary uses Flourney. As of this writing, her parents’ names are in Find A Grave with the ‘oy’ spelling, but in a family cemetery that uses the ‘ey’ spelling in its name. Markers of her parents and other family members use the ‘oy’ spelling, which is why I have used that one above.
