Edmund J. Sander, 73, 233 E. 11th, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1980 at the Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend.

He was born March 27, 1907 in Victoria, the son of Joseph and Rose (Dreiling) Sander.

On Sept. 23, 1947 he married Catherine Boos in Victoria.

Sander, a retired construction worker, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Ralph of Richmond, Mo. , and Marvin of Casper, Wyo.; four daughters, Mrs. Pat Younger of Las Cruces, N.M., Mrs. Rita VonLintel and Mrs. Vera Wear, both of Hays, and Miss Linda Sander of the home; a stepson, Tony Stremel of Englewood, Colo.; two brothers, Tony of Victoria and Wendelin of Sterling, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Marie Stang of Colorado and Mrs. Florine Stang of Wichita; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the church; with Father Julian Haas officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
