Bruce Francis, 63, of New Holland, died Nov. 19, 2014, peacefully at his home.

He was born Feb. 8, 1951, at Camp Carson, Colorado Springs, Colorado, to the late Pauline (Pat) and Robert (Bob) Francis of Williamsport.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, William David (Bill) Francis.

Bruce was a graduate of Circleville High School, class of 1969. He served in the US Air National Guard from 1971 to 1977. He had worked at General Electric of Circleville, and he retired from DuPont in Circleville.

He was the owner of Windmill Wash & Dry and Windmill Kennel in New Holland. Bruce worked part time for Buckeye Propane Company in New Holland. He was a member of the Masonic Heber Lodge 501 in Williamsport. He loved spending time with his family, riding his Harley and boating on Lake Erie and going to yard sales.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen (Eldridge) Francis; his sons, Michael (Kara) Francis of South Vienna, Matthew Francis of New Holland, and Christopher (Portia Algie) Francis of Grove City; his sister-in-law, Brenda Francis of Circleville; four grandsons, John, Charlie, Brady and Ian. He will be greatly missed by his golden retriever, Cory.

Services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. A private scattering of the cremains will be at a later date.

The family requests donations to Berger Hospice of Circleville or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
