Frank M. Stockton, 67, of 111 North
Wilson St., Delphi, formerly of South
Bend, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 1980 at
the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette,
where he had been a patient 17 days. He
had been in ill health the past eight
months.
He was born Jan. 7, 1913 in White
County, the son of Harry C. and Anna
Tam Stockton. His marriage on July 28,
1938 was to Helen M. Ashba, in
Lafayette, In.
Mr. Stockton was a retired employee
of the Bendix Corporation in South
Bend, having worked there for 32 years.
He was a graduate of Klondike High
School and had attended Purdue
University. He was a member of the
Epworth Memorial United Methodist
Church in South Bend, the Hoosier
Brittany Club, The American Turners,
Issac Walton Conservation League in
South Bend and a former member of
the Moose Lodge in South Bend.
Surviving with his wife, Helen; two
sons, Frank R. Stockton of Dayton, OH.
and Dale L. Stockton of Cushing, Okla.;
one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Kay)
Seurynck, Delphi , five sisters, Jeanette
Mogg, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Edith
Christopher, Lafayette, Ind., Mrs.
Albert (Ruth) Mills, Boulder, Colo.,
Mrs. Elmer (Jeneve) Fish, Clarks Hill,
Ind., Mrs. L.D. (Wilma) Beeler,
Chicago, Ill., and five grandchildren.
Two sisters preceded him in death.
Services were Sunday at the
Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev.
Ray Nelson and Father Ambrose
Ziegler officiating. Cremation with
internment was at the Highland
Cemetery, South Bend, Ind.
