They had three children: Charles Hackman; Ella Hackman; and Mary Hackman.
OBITUARY: GEORGE F. HACKMAN CALLED BY DEATH – Seventy-seven Year Old Resident of County Passes Away Today.
George F. Hackman, age seventy-seven, prominent Jackson county farmer, died at his home, Route 5, Seymour, at 1:25 o'clock this morning, succumbing to an illness of several months. Mr. Hackman had been in failing health for ten years but had been bedfast for about six months with complications. Mr. Hackman was born April 13, 1854, at Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved to this county when he was eighteen years of age. He was married at the Sauers Church in 1880 to Miss Ann Schneider, who survives. He was an active member of the Lutheran church. Besides the wife, he is survived by three children, Charles Hackman, Mrs. George Kriete and Mrs. Amos Beikman, all of this city. One half-brother Henry Vahl, of Brownstown and eight grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the home and at 2 o'clock from the Lutheran church with the Rev. E. H. Eggers, pastor, in charge. Burial in Lutheran cemetery.
