WWI. He was sent and according to the newspaper from 1919 " went over the top"
he was wounded and sent back home to Ada, he was also gassed very badly. While
home on 30 day furlough, his health had relapsed and he was sent to a hospital
in Brooklyn. He did finally recovered, served out his time with honor and came
home to his family farm to continue on with life.
