Dr. Marcia M. Dickman, 56, of Stillwater, Okla., died Saturday, May 21, 2005.

Born April 16, 1949, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Paul and Frances Dickman.

Survivors include her mother of Stillwater; seven cousins; and special friend, Mollie Dickman.

She was preceded in death by her father, one aunt and one uncle.

Dr. Dickman was a member of the staff at Oklahoma State University, where she was a faculty professor and involved in many campus activities, student affairs and counseling.

She attended school in Shelbyville and received a bachelor of arts, master's and doctorate degrees from Purdue University.

Dr. Dickman was a member of St. Johns University Parrish.

A prayer service was held Tuesday at Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home, in Stillwater.

Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Forest Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Don A. Quinn officiating.

Carmony-Ewing Funeral Homes is handling the local arrangements.
