Harry Elsworth Clewell was born 11 Feb 1879 in Belle Plaine, Sumner County, Kansas; the eighth of nine children born to Alexander David "A.D." and Caroline E. (Hartman) Clewell.
Harry was united in marriage with Bertha May Pratt; daughter of Lorenzo Dow and Rebecca Jane (Thomas) Pratt.
In 1926 Harry was listed as Principal at Central City Commercial College. Later he became a Professor at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
Harry and Bertha were the parents of two children:
1. Florence "Evelyn" (1905-1997) never married
2. Dr. Geraldine (1907-1995) never married
Harry passed away 21 May 1963 in Waco, McLennan County, Texas. He was laid to rest in Waco Memorial Park in Waco, McLennan County, Texas.
