Mr. Anthony Thornell "Scottie" Crem, 49, of Lanett died Thursday, July 20, 2006 at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.

Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, July 25 at 2 m. at Goodsell United Methodist Church in Lanett with the Rev. Horace Blount III officiating. Burial will follow at Pinehill Cemetery in Lanett.

Mr. Crem is survived by two sons, Tasmin Harris of Lanett and Jarnez Brooks of West Point; his mother, Annie R. Winston of Lanett; one sister Deborah McCullough of Valley; two aunts, Georgette Reese and Mary Emma Winston, both of Louisville, Ky.; two uncles, Earnest Scott Sr. of Lanett and Tom Winston of Ypsilanti, Mich.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Crem was born May 15, 1957 in Chambers County. He attended school in the Lanett City School System. Mr. Crem was employed with the Lanett Housing Authority before his health declined. He was the son of Mrs. Annie Ruth Winston and the late Mr. Joseph Crem.

The family will receive family and friends Monday, July 24 from 7 to 8 p.m. at M.W. Lee Mortuary in West Point.

The remains will lie in state at the church Tuesday, July 25 from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.
