FAIRLAND, Okla. - Betty M. Adamson, 77, Fairland resident, formerly of Miami, died Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 12:19 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla.

Betty was born on July 1, 1927. She was a retired operator of the Townsoman Restaurant in Miami, Okla.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the First Christian Church in Fairland, Okla.
Burial will follow at the Fairland Cemetery, Fairland, Okla.

Betty M. Adamson of Fairland died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

She was 77.

Adamson was born July 1, 1927, in Belgium to Mr. and Mrs. Emil Anteunis.

She graduated from high school in Belgium in 1944.

She and her husband owned and operated the Townsman Restaurant in Miami from 1972 to 1981.

She was a member of the Miami Chamber of Commerce.

She married Harold D. Adamson on May 20, 1969, in Fayetteville, Ark.

He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 2003.

Survivors include two sons, B.E. Milner of Tulsa and Virgil Fox of Lansing, Kan.; two daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Larry Gray of Fairland and Vera and John Carsten of Tulsa; three sisters, Magola Anteunis, Yvonne Anteunis and Ginny Anteunis, all of Belgium, four grandsons and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church in Fairland with the Rev. Brian Giebler officiating. Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be B.E. Milner, Thomas Milner, John Carsten Sr., John Carsten Jr., Larry Gray and Travis Fox.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home in Fairland.

Memorials are suggested to the Fairland First Christian Church youth group.
