He married Pamela Castillo in 1993 in Bettendorf. He was a 1974 graduate of George Williams College, Downers Grove, Ill. As a college athlete, he set many basketball records, received many collegiate awards and was coached by Norm Sanjou of the Dallas Mavericks. After graduating he played on the Venture for Victory Christian League in many South American countries and was a draft choice of the Phoenix Suns. He was a teacher and coach employed in the Chicago area and was a head coach at Northeast High School, Goose Lake, Iowa.
In 1978, he left teaching for a career in insurance and financial planning. He was employed primarily at Continental Western Life, where he earned annual sales recognition awards and qualified each year for company-sponsored trips. He organized basketball leagues in the Clinton and Quad-Cities area. His Hoopfest team was undefeated in its division in 1992 and 1993.
He was a member of Bettendorf Christian Church, Lowden Lions and Camanche School Board for seven years. He enjoyed many sports and outdoor activities. He spent his free time fishing, camping, golfing and hunting with his dog, Cinder.
He is survived by his wife Pamela, sons, Jacob and Andrew Cinadr, stepdaughters, Katie and Sara Castillo, all at home; his mother, Davenport; sisters, Marianne Reese, Davenport, and Barbara Bumm, Lake Elsinore, Calif.; and brothers, Tom Cinadr, Davenport, Cliff Cinadr, East Moline, and Raymond Cinadr, Lenexa, Kan.
