Raymond L. Calvert, 82, of 221 Main St. died Wednesday, March 5, 1997, at his residence.

Born Dec. 18, 1914, in Lowpoint to Alfred and Nora Kenyon Calvert, he married Irene Manker on Aug. 6, 1959. She survives.

Also surviving are seven sons, Donnie Calvert of Toulon, Tom Thompson of East Peoria, Jack Morgan and John Morgan, both of Peoria Heights, Dean Morgan and Ronnie Morgan, both of Bellevue and Jessie Morgan of Peoria; three daughters, Joyce Pheasant, Judy Brickner and Jill Brooks, all of Peoria; and one sister, Lila Balance of Patoka. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jim Calvert and Larry Calvert, four brothers and one sister.

He was a custodial engineer at the Hotel Pere Marquette in Peoria.

He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
