Herald Coaster, September 29, 1994:

On Oct. 11, 1987, Allyson Gerken came into our lives. On Sept. 28, 1994, she left us to begin a new life in heaven. During her seven short years, she spread much love and joy. Her passion and caring for people will always be remembered by those she touched. After her battle with cancer, may her new life allow her to enjoy the things she loved most - animals, music, dancing, and playing dress-up.
