CANBY — Services for Mabel Wilhelmine Risdahl, 75, of rural Canby will be at 2 p.m. today at the Garfield Lutheran Church in rural Madison. Burial will be in the Canby Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Mrs. Risdahl died Friday at the Canby Community Hospital.
She was born Sept. 18, 1910, to Herman and Bertha (Voltz) Paglusch in North Redwood, where she was baptized. When she was a young girl, the family moved to Revillo, S. D., where she was confirmed. She attended Revillo schools. On March 23, 1932, she married Minor Risdahl in Brandt, S.D. They moved to Freeland in Lac qui Parle County where they farmed. She was a member of Florida Lutheran Church until its closing. She was a member of Garfield Lutheran Church and was a member of the American Lutheran Church Women. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and flower gardening.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Jones of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. James (Diane) Anderson of Hutchinson; three sons, Alan of Elk Horn, Neb., Paul of Mankato and Clayton (Pete) of Appleton; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ivalina Taylor of Gary, S.D.; and one brother, Martin Paglusch of St. Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Birk Funeral Home in Canby.
