Mr. Ronald Edward Chastain, age 71, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mr. Chastain was born to the late Oscar Cornelius and Imajean McCallister Chastain. Mr. Chastain was employed for 30 years and retired from the Fannin County School System as a Vocational Education Teacher. He was a member of Epworth First Baptist Church and was also a Past Master of McCay Lodge #423 F&AM. He is preceded in death by his wife Debbie Chastain.
Mr. Chastain is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws all of McCaysville, GA; one brother and two sisters all of Cleveland, TN; and a sister of Culberson, NC. Three grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 4:00 pm from the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Tom Jordan and Minister Butch Jones officiating. Music will be by Rev. Doug Simonds. Interment will follow in Epworth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00-8:00 pm.
