Maranda Ann Kanatzar Stocker, 96, widow of Curtis Stocker, died March 31, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 16, 1909, daughter of William Henry and Anna DeVary Kanatzar. She was a member of Nicholasville Christian Church since 1939, and was a former employee of Irvin Air Chute. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Wayne and Betty Stocker of Paris, Dan and Beverly Stocker of Nicholasville; four grandchildren and their spouses, Debra and Jerry Carter, Donna and Jerry Doolin and Danny Stocker, all of Nicholasville, and Amie and Scott Robinson of Paris; a step granddaughter and her husband, Stephanie and Terry Cruse; great-grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa and Shane Whitaker, Jessica Carter, Jarrod and Ashli Doolin, Nicholas Doolin, Garrett and Lauren Stocker and Taylor Marie Robinson and Tyler Wayne Cruse; a great-great-grandchild, Tanner Ray Whitaker; a sister, Edith Stocker; two sister-in-laws, Estelle Chandler and Mamie Lee Stocker.
Services were Monday, April 3, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Harrison and the Rev. Greg Porterfield officiating.
Burial was at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers were Scott Robinson, Danny Stocker, Jerry Doolin, Jerry Carter, Jarrod Doolin, Nicholas Doolin and Terry Cruse.
