Preceded in death by husband, Edward; son, William; daughters, Sharon Yartin and Donna Patz; sister, Dorothy Bromund; and brother, Simon. Survived by children, Marjorie (John) Gates, Gallitzin, and Howard, Altoona; son-in-law, Kenneth Patz, Cresson; grandchildren, Bonnie (J.D.) Feltenberger, Rose Mangarella, Trina (Fred) Illig, Paul (Sherry) Gates, Shelly Gates (Joe Kruczewski), Mark (Alice) Reed, Daryl (Jenny) Gates, Patricia (Bill) Yahnert, Renee (Rob) Boyd, Connie (Paul) Noel and Melony (Tim) Yahnert; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great“grandson. Martha loved cooking and flowers. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Albert Ledoux, celebrant. Committal, St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where a vigil service will be held Monday.
