WASHINGTON M. BARNES
Washington M. Barnes, aged 66 years, passed away at his home in Astoria on Tuesday evening, after an illness of about ten months duration.
He was born in Woodland township and for many years served as the Post Master of Summum.
Besides his aged wife, he leaves to mourn his death, two brothers, Charles of Summum and Henry of Tennessee, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Emma Adams of Vermont.
Mr. Barnes was well known throughout South Fulton and his many friends will regret to learn of his death, which was due to a complication of diseases.
Funeral services will be held today, September 26, at his home conducted by Rev. J. B. Miller, pastor of the M. E. church. Interment will be at the Astoria cemetery.
