Allie Stevenson passed away at the Life Care Center in Sierra Vista, Ariz., on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at the age of 84.
She was born on Aug. 26, 1930, to Lushion and Tennie Winters in Fredonia, Ky. Her family moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., where she grew up and graduated from high school.
It was there that she met and married Chuck Stevenson on July 19, 1949.
Her husband was in the construction business, so he moved the family to several different states, bringing them to Sierra Vista in 1987. Allie always took care of the business part of the company and was an excellent homemaker. She was a wonderful seamstress, and she made many clothes for her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Chuck; and her son Rob.
Allie will be missed by her two sons, Jeff (Sharon) Stevenson of Sierra Vista, and Scott (Cyndi) Stevenson of Laramie, Wyo.; sister, Dottie Ventigmiglia of Colorado Springs; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Life Care Center in Sierra Vista for the constant care and compassion you showed our mother. This was her home, and you all became family to her and us. For this we will always be grateful.
