Son of Ernest H. M. Solomon(deceased) and Veramae Elizabeth Pettey Barrett Solomon, brother of Leonard Lee Solomon (deceased infant)and David E. Solomon (Arizona resident), he was born in DeFuinak Springs, Florida where our Father was at the Eglin Field Air Force Base. A half sister, Bonnie Mae Barrett Solomon (Mrs.)Delinski preceeded him in death. A half brother, Larry Owens lives in Rockford, Illinois. Moving back to Peoria a year laterafter he was born, Murray was raised in Peoria, Illinois. After schooling and the US Navy, he had lived in California, New York, Atlanta, and finally in Pensacola, where it was his favorite place to settle. Murray died in Pensacola Florida, and his cremated remains were scattered on a local beach area where he ran his dogs, of whom preceeded him in death and their ashes were scattered there as well.
