Funeral Mass was held Friday, June 13, 2003, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Spirit Lake, ID. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery. Phyllis A. Boursaw, 66, Coeur d'Alene, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at home. She was born May 28, 1937, to Jeanettie (Saxton) and Thomas Good Mitchell in Sagola Township, Mich. On March 15, 1969, Phyllis married Lawrence Boursaw in Nena, Wis. She moved to North Idaho in 1979 and moved to Coeur d'Alene from Spirit Lake two years ago. Through the years, Phyllis moved back and forth from here to Michigan. She was a homemaker. Phyllis was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and enjoyed reading. Survivors include her sons Carl Johnson and wife Bonnie, Duane Johnson, Donald Johnson and wife Kerry, all of Sagola, Mich.; daughters June Mantor, St. Paul, Minn., Theresa and husband Keith Brewer, Mead, Wash., Rose Boursaw, Coeur d'Alene; sister Donna Gross, Sagola, Mich.; brother Alvia Mitchell, Lovelock, Nev.; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and numerous other children she cared for and loved as her own. Phyllis was preceded in death by her first husband Donald Johnson, second husband Lawrence Boursaw, and seven brothers and sisters.
