John Milton Mosby was the son of Micajah Mosby b. 1793 in Powqhatan Co., VA, and Nancy Berry b. abt 1806 in Adair Co., KY.

He married on 30 Jun 1857 in Pulaski Co., MO, Martha Isabel Blowing (buried at this cem.); they had the following children: James Martin b. 1857, Alfer John b. 1858, Edmund b. 1860, Benjamin ;Sherman b. 1865, and Grant Mosby b. 1869.
