Daughter of Edward Miller of New York and Emily Keith of Switzerland County, Indiana.

Wife of (1) John Draper of Fayette County, Ohio; married on 10 July 1859 in Floris, Davis County, Iowa and (2) William D. Lelfer; married in 1889 and (3) Samuel F. Brown; married on 09 April 1909.

"Lavina Frances Miller was born January 1, 1842 in Dearborn County, Indiana and passed from this life January 23, 1931, at the age of 89 years and 22 days, at the home of her son, Lewis W. Draper of Comstock.
She was united in marriage to John Draper July 10, 1859. To this union were born eleven children, four sons and seven daughters, all of whom are living except Phoebe Irene, who died in infancy and Mrs. Della Whiteing, who passed away in November, 1918 in Crowley, Colorado.
With her family, Mrs. Miller moved from their home in Davis County, Iowa to Custer County, Nebraska and located on a homestead one mile north of Westerville in 1879, and she has lived in Nebraska since that time. Her husband (S.F. Brown) passed away in November, 1918.
She was united in marriage to S.F. Brown, April 9, 1909, who preceded her in death several years ago.
She leaves to mourn her departure four sons and five daughters: Francis M. of Mansfield, Missouri, Harriet J. Munn of Los Angeles, California, Millie Town of Sargent, William M. of Mansfield, Missouri, Samuel S. of Elwood, Lewis W. of Comstock, Lydia A. Carley of Kearney, Nancy E. Simpson of Big Fork, Montana and Bertha E. Dodson of Kearney. She also leaves forty grandchildren, one hundred and one great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church of Westerville by Rev. Mr. Jay of Sargeant, Saturday, January 24, and the body was laid to rest in the Westerville Cemetery."
