Jessie Mae Conklin, 87, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her family. Jessie Mae was born in Washington County and had resided most of her life in Kingsport. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend to all. Jessie Mae loved her time and friends at the Kingsport Renaissance Center. She attended Homeland Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Conklin; her parents, Roy Brown and Wilma Brown Harris; twin sister, Jewel Rae Brown; brother, Bobby Brown; and son-in-law, Dutt Wagers II.

Jessie Mae is survived by 4 daughters, Martha Wallace, Faye Wagers, Sandra Wood and husband, David, and Donna Sluss and husband, Randy; son, Lynn Conklin and wife, Barbara; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Trula Cox; brother, Leroy Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the Wellmont Hospice and Homeland Baptist Church for the special care give to Jessie Mae.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12-1:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor J.W. Depew and Pastor Richard Pike officiating.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Logan’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
