William Andrew Sutter, 67, a former resident of Cottage Hills, died Friday night at 9:55 pm at Wood River Township Hospital where he had been a patient since February 25.

Sutter lived at 8109 Cyclomen, Buena Park, California since 1944 and was employed in the guard protection department of an aircraft plant.

Sutter, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sutter, was born in Haleyville, Oklahoma, December 23, 1900.

He is survived by a daughter, Dorothy, Oklahoma; a son, Will, Cottage Hills; three brothers, Martin, Ferguson, Missouri, Vance, Haleyville, Oklahoma, and Dale Los Angeles, California.

Four sisters who survive are Nora Peachee, San Francisco, California, Oma Hulbert, Ferguson, Missouri, Cora Prewitt, Normandy, Missouri, and Ona Westbrook, Haleyville, Oklahoma. Two grandchildren survive.

Friends may visit the Smith Funeral Home in Bethalto after 2 pm Sunday. Services will be Monday at 2:30 pm at the funeral home with the Reverend Dean Hickerson presiding.

Interment will be in the Bethalto City Cemetery.
