Wilma Dell Kasper, 91 formally of 320 E. Washington St. died February 28, 2013 at the Iowa City Rehabilitation and Care Center after a long illness.

Services will be held March 5, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 2:30, with visitation one half hour before the service.

Wilma was born to Frank A and Anna (Kessler) Kasper on September 28, 1921 in Solon, Iowa. Wilma graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School in 1940. Following graduation Wilma and her twin sister Delma had a long career of house cleaning for prominent Iowa City households. Many of these people still remember the "twins" at their birthday and Christmas. Wilma retired on her birthday in 1986. The twins were very independent in their younger years, having purchased their first new car at Nall Motors, on Burlington St in Iowa City and paying cash for it. The salesman was stunned when they counted out their $100 bills. They lived in the family home and later sold that to buy a small cottage on Morningside Dr. After many enjoyable years there, they moved to the Ecumenical Towers (and enjoyed thoroughly) until they could no longer care for themselves. The Rittenmeyer sisters (Mary Jo, Helen and Sue Schmucker) helped get them settled in at I.C. Rehab, where they are loved and taken care of.

Wilma's family includes her twin sister Delma, sister-in-law Alice Kasper and two nieces Patty Sporn and Anna Haessler.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Louise, brothers Ken and Ralph Kasper and niece Barb Earle.
