Evans F. Brassfield was born in Chickasaw County,Ms. March 28,1905 to William Matthew and Sarah Elizabeth Norman Brassfield.He Married Vivian V. Sewell June 24,1928.They raised 10 children;Rubye L Blackmon,Nettie M. Bumgart,Thelma D.Bumgart,Beth Dove,Mary R.Edwards,Carl J.,Glen Allen,Adron Leon,Robert Carson, and Evans Jr.Brassfield,He has 26 Grand Children,36 Great Grand Children and numerous Great-Great Grand Children.He was laid to rest beside his wife in Bethel Cemetery in Dentontown,Ms. where they lived and raised their family.

But that is nothing new.

We thought about you yesterday

And days before that too.

We thought of you in silence

We often speak your name.

Now all we have are memories

And your picture in a frame.
