Celestino M. Sartori, 76, died about 1 o'clock this morning at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Nizio Nugai of 345 Houghton street, with whom he made him home.
He had been ill for about two years, and seriously ill during the past three or four months.
Mr. Sartori wsa born in Trento which wsa then a part of Austria and is now a part of Italy. He was married there to the former Jane Ravizza, who died in 1932. Mr. Sartori came to the United Atates alone in 1907, settled in North Adams, and five years later his wife joined him here.
Mr Sartori was employed at Readsboro, Vt., and at the No. 5 power station of the New England Electric system in Hoosic Tunnel, and for about 30 years he was employed at the former Arnold Print Works here. He retired in 1942 when that plant closed.
He was one of the founders of the Tyrolese society, and wsa its president for many years, and he ws a member of the North Adams [...] of Eagles for 30 years or more.
He attended St. Anthony's church.
He leaves four daughters. Mrs. Henry LeSage, Jr., Mrs. William benedetti, Mrs. Albert Senecal, and Mrs. Nugai; and two sons, Aldo and Edmnd, all of North Adams; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
