"Helen M. Burgoyne, 81, of Danville, died at 10:30 a.m. Monday (December 12, 1994) at her residence. She was born April 23, 1913, in Danville, the daughter of Alonzo B. and Anna Van Vickle Roth. She was married to Glen W. Burgoyne May 20, 1937, in Veedersburg, Indiana. He preceded her in death April 18, 1981.
She is survived by: one son, Stephen J. (Sandra) Burgoyne of Danville; three grandchildren, Lyn (Kevin) Michael in Mississippi, Michele (Chris) Lehman of Danville, and Jon (Lisa) Burgoyne of Paragon, Indiana; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Burgoyne was a secretary in a law office for several years and later at Allith-Prouty Inc. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, Boston, Massachusetts, and the Christian Science Church in Danville, where she served a term as second reader, board chairman, and in other capacities. She was a Christian Science practitioner listed in the Christian Science Journal.
Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Barrick & Son Funeral Home; Officiating: Reader Susan Mittelsteadt; Burial: Spring Hill Cemetery; Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home; Memorials: First Church of Christ Scientist, 809 Oak Street, Danville, or the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, P.O.
