Susanne Jolly LaFond, 60 of Columbia, KY passed quickly at her home, Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 6:52 PM after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born in Carterville, Georgia on March 19, 1954 the daughter of the late: Hoyt and Ada Sue Gaines Jolly of Georgia

She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Glenn LaFond of Columbia, KY
Susanne Jolly LaFond must have been one of the most beautiful souls to ever walk this earth. She was unashamedly honest, beautifully simple, and undeniably loving. Her easy-going nature, her undeniable sense of humor, and her genuine love for others attracted people of all kinds, from all walks, to her. Everyone who met Susanne loved her.

Susanne spent her life serving others: as a missionary in the Dominican Republic, as a pastor's wife, as an employee at Summit Manor Nursing Home, and as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She opened her home to anyone in need without a second thought. She loved organizing prayer meetings for the women of her church, and made a significant impact on many lives during her time on Earth.

Susanne loved to connect with her "peeps" on Facebook; she loved playing Candy Crush, Hallmark movies, caring for her (or anyone else's) animals, crossword puzzles, and visiting with friends. Most of all, Susanne loved her family. She loved them with a ferocity that only another mother could understand, in a way that all of her family could feel and know without doubt.
