Erker was born Oct. 20, 1916 in Andale, Kansas and died May 10th in Denver. His family moved to Roggen Colorado when he was a child.
He and Frances Flaherty were married in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Sterling, Jan. 3, 1942. He farmed in the Roggen area for many years and was also agent for Standard Oil Co. for 18 years before his retirement in 1969.
Erker was a member of Sacred Heart Church, serving as president of the church council. He was past president of the Roggen Telephone Co-op; past president of the Roggen Lions Club and past chief of the Roggen Volunteer Fire Dept.
He was preceded in death by both parents, William A. and Barbara J. Erker and a grandson Lawrence E. Erker Jr.
