McPhail, 84, formerly of 1609 Chelsea Ave., died at 5:50 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 1972, in Americana Health Care Center, Born Sept. 28, 1888, in New Milford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Radcliffe. Lived 70 years in Rockford, coming here from New Milford. Married to Wiliam A, McPhail in Rockford, Oct. 21, 1914. Member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She has served on the board of directors of the YWCA and as a Gray Lady for the American Red Cross. She was a member of Chapter CJ, PEO sisterhood, She graduated from Rockford College in 1912. Survivors include: a brother, C. Bauer Radcliffe, Rockford; a nephew, Charles W. Radcliffe, East Lansing, Mich.; and a niece, Mrs. D. Gary (Carol) Smith, Garden Grove, Calif. Her husband died Oct. 28, 1966.
Services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in BURPEE-WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 420 N. Main St., with Rev. Dr. Frederick A. Roblee, interim pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Friends may send memorials in her name to their favorite charity.
