Services for Mrs. Margaret McPhail, 94, 1841 Camp avenue, who died yesterday morning in Swedish-American hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Burpee-Wood funeral home, 420 North Main street. The Rev. James Benson, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian church, will officiate, and burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
Mrs McPhail was born in Guilford township, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Reid, pioneer settlers of Winnebago county who came here from Scotland. She married Alexander McPhail and they farmed in Guilford until 1900, when they retired and moved to Rockford. Her husband died in 1924. Mrs. McPhail was an active member of the Westminster church.
Surviving ar two sons, William A, McPhail, 225 Hancock street, and James A. McPhail, 1809 Camp avenue.
