She was born February 3, 1929 in Livingston, the daughter of Jessie and Nell Richards Peters.
Mrs. Hopson died Saturday, September 18, 2004, in Memorial Medical Center, Livingston.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard and Donna Wilkerson of Junction and Bruce and Ann Hopson of Palestine; sons, Richard Hopson of Pearland and Michael Hopson of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Roger Maxey of Livingston; 17 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Brasher, Wade Brasher, Jimmy Lechinger, James Hopson, Jeremiah Pierce and Brian Hartman. Honorary pallbearers were Peter Benson and Dennis "T-Tot" Rowe.
Cochran Funeral Home, Livingston, was in charge of arrangements.
