Bryan Day, eldest son of Thomas W. and Margaret Little Day was born September 1, 1872, three miles north of Murray, Iowa and passed away on April 18, 1964 in Creston, Iowa. He would have been 92 years of age next September. He lived in Clarke and Union Counties all of his life except for six years in St. Edward, Nebraska. A farmer most of his life, until he came to Lorimor Iowa in 1916. where he was employed by the Union Produce Company for many years and later was Town Marshal for eleven years.

On August 2, 1899, he was united in marriage to Anna B. Noland in Osceola, Iowa and to this union were four children; Ruby Ann - Harry - Edith and Helen all born in Murray, Iowa. These children all preceded him in death. Anna B. Noland passed away about 1915 and is buried in St Edward, Nebr.

On March 6, 1919, Bryan was united in marriage to Marie Ruth Stoneburner, daughter of Calvert and Pearl Hughes Stoneburner of Afton, Iowa and to this union were four children; Lyle Calvert - Bryan Wesley and Margaret Jean. One son Max died in Nov., 1929 at birth.

Surviving are his widow, "Bee" - one daughter, Margaret Jean . Two sons; Lyle and Wess all of Denver, Colorado , besides several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren

Funeral Services for Bryan were held at the Watt and Soll Funeral Home in Lorimor, Iowa on April 21, 1964 at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. Tom Murr officiating. Pallbearers were - Verne Emerson - Virgil Criss - Stanley Smith - Lyle Williams - Lester Steen and H. R. Kritenbrink.
Burial was in the Lorimor Cemetery, Lorimor, Iowa
