Lena Ellois Abernathy, 88, of Waco, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2006. Graveside services will be at Waco Memorial Park.
Lena Ellois was born in Seale, Texas, to the late Curtis and Minnie Norris. She graduated from Waco High School in 1937 and married Robert R. "Bob" Abernathy on Jan. 29, 1938.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Abernathy: step-father, Frank Harper; and brother, Burrell Norris.
Lois is survived by her daughters, Lynda Bumpers and husband, Larry, of Waco, and Jan Pickett and husband, Ronnie, of Round Rock; grandchildren, David Pickett, of Hawaii, and Sarah Newell and husband, Ryan, of Round Rock; and great-grandson, Garrett Newell.
