Our beloved husband, father, grandpa, and friend, Don Angus, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2000 at his home from cardiovascular disease.

He was born in Fairfield on May 29, 1917 to Henry A. Angus and Ethel McKinney Angus.

Don married Maxine Briggs on February 3, 1940 and she has remained by his side for almost sixty years.

During World War II, Don served with the Seabees in the Pacific.

Don retired from Kennecott in 1980. He was a Master Mechanic and a builder all his life. He had "magic hands" and if he couldn't fix it, it wouldn't be fixed.

He was a good, honest, and helpful man. There was always a comfortable sense of security when he was around. Everyone knew that if a problem arose he would be able to resolve it.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; son, Bill (Norma); daughter, Kathy; one grandson, Brigg; two brothers, and two sisters. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Donine; one son, "Rick"; three brothers, and one sister.

A small gathering of friends and family joined Don at his home prior to his burial on Wednesday, January 12, 2000 at Valley View Memorial Park.
