Golda G. Julian, age 88, 117 Smith Road, Roan Mountain passed away Friday, December 02, 2005 at Sycamore Shoals hospital following a brief illness. A native of a Carter County, she was a daughter of the late John and Maxie Gouge. Mrs. Gouge was a beautician. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Nath Julian, a grandson, Jeffery Miller and one brother, Widner Gouge.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Don Hill, Roan Mountain, two sisters, Loretta Gouge, Roan Mountain, Joann Stanley, Roan Mountain, sister-in-law, Mabel Gouge, Hampton, two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Bea Gouge, Denver, CO, Conway and Brenda Gouge, Roan Mountain, several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 4, at Tetrick Funeral Home Rhododendron Chapel, Roan Mountain with Rev. Richard Blevins officiating. Music will be under the direction of Charlotte Smith. Interment will follow the funeral service in The Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Chris Barnett, Doug Barnett, Kim Barnett, Randal Odom, Robbie McKinney and Donnie Perkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Delaney Barnett, Gene Ashley, Carroll Hill, Johnny Hill and Ted Barnett. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Sunday from 1 - 2 p.m. prior to the service or friends may call at the residence at any time.
