Bradley Stuart Ronau, age 55, of Swanton, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Tuesday morning, November 4, 2014, at his home, eleven months after being diagnosed with mesothelioma. He was born December 4, 1958 in Toledo, Ohio to Leo Donald and Dorothy (Buckenmeyer) Ronau. A 1977 graduate of Swanton High School, Brad started his professional land surveying career with Finkbeiner, Pettis & Strout. He later worked as a surveyor for the Lucas County Engineer's Office, and was a member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio.

Brad was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. His hobbies included fishing and hunting, looking for good bargains at local auctions, and taking road trips on his Goldwing motorcycle. He also was a pyrotechnician and member of the Independence Professional Fireworks Association.

Brad will be greatly missed by his mother, Dorothy; sister, Wendy (Gary) Allen; brothers, Bob (Karen) Ronau, Nick (Connie) Ronau, Charlie Ronau, and Ted (Gretchen) Ronau; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, Arlene.

Brad was preceded in death by his father, Don.

Family and friends may visit Friday, November 7th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton, where a Vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday, November 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity (Immaculate Conception) Catholic Church at Marygrove, 1750 N. Raab Road, where a Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:00 a.m., with Fr. Michael Dandurand presiding. Interment at Marygrove Cemetery will follow at a later date.
