The sudden death of Mrs Andrew C Perkins [Emma Georgia Hull Perkins] at a early hour at the University Hospital yesterday morning shocked and saddened her many friends throughot this community. Mrs Perkins had never been in robust health since the tragic death of her only son, Andrew Perkins Jr, last October, but she was only ill for two days and was taken to the hospital Monday when pneumonia developed. The end came suddenly from heart failure.

Mrs Perkins is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs Walker Inman and Miss Emma Sibley Perkins; her mother, Mrs Asbury Hull; a sister, Mrs Eugenia Trader; one brother, Jeptha Rucker Hull and a wide circle of relatives. Mrs Perkins was the daughter of Mrs Alice Sibley Hull and the late Asbury Hull and was named for her two grandmothers, Mrs George Sibley and Mrs DeSaussure Ford.

She was married 25 years ago to Mr Andrew Perkins and their home has always been a delightful center of the social life of Augusta.

While her gentle charm and lovely nature endeared her to a wide circle of friends to whom she was ever loyal, her heart was centered in her home, and her devotion lavished on husband and children. She was a woman of sincere Christian faith, a member of the First Presbyterian church from childhood and was for some time president of the Womans Auxiliary and active in all church work.

Funeral services will be conducted at the First Presbyterian Church this afternoon at five o'clock. Interment will be in the Hull section of the city cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Dr Asbury Hull, Dr W A Mulherin, Herman Rogers, J L Skinner, George B Harding, and Urban Peters of Birmingham.
