Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Geiser Weems 70 of Delhi, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 8, 2014 in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Delhi with Rev. Paul Lipe officiating.
Visitation will be held at Cox Funeral Home on Friday from 5-7 PM.
Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery near Delhi.
Barbara was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH and moved to LA in 1970 where she married Lloyd P. Weems in 1976. In Delhi, she was a Tupperware Dealer, President of the Delhi Dixie Girls Softball Program and the Richland Parish Pilot Club. The community has benefited from her many hours as a volunteer. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald Edwin Geiser and Marjorie Ruth Greene Geiser; her spouse Lloyd P. Weems and a brother Ken Geiser.
Barbara is survived by a brother and sisters-in-law Richard Geiser and wife Mary of OshKosh, WI and Teresa Geiser Arnold of Jackson, MS; children Linda Weems Hebert and husband Joey of Palmetto, LA, Brenda Weems West and husband Brian of Start, LA, Sarah Eldred Adkins and husband Steve of Ruston, LA and Andrea Weems Elisaia and husband Kilo of Start, LA.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Ashley Granger and husband Traye, Joshua Wilson, Sarah Beth Ferguson and husband Kane, Michael Almond and wife Amber, Rachel and Tyler Holmes and Issac Elisaia.
Her great grandchildren are Jada Wilson, Christian and MacKenzie Granger, Joshua Wilson Jr. and Lana Almond.
Pallbearers will be representatives from the Delhi Volunteer Fire Department.
