Hazel Wynette Smith Farrer, age 86, of Ioka, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2014, at her home surrounded by family members and her beloved husband of 67 years, Monte M. Farrer. She was born September 1, 1928, in Springville, to Frederick H. and Pearl Gore Smith. She married Monte on August 27, 1947, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Wynette will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, neighbor and friend. She was valiant, courageous, loving, witty and alert to the very end. She is survived by her husband, Monte; sons, Rick M. (JoLyn), Russell K. (Suzanne), K. Frederick (Sara), Steven R. (Valeska Draucker), a daughter, Rebekka (David) Johnson, many wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Gordon (Roberta) , Harold, and Raymond (Karen) Smith. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin, daughter, Monette, and sons, Jeffery Lynn and Tony Ross. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at the Myton LDS Chapel. There will be a viewing on Friday, at the Hullinger Mortuary, from 6-8 p.m. and from 9-9:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Springville Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be shared at www.hullingermortuary.com In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to Primary Children's Medical Center or any cancer research facility.
