Aaron Dane Creel, Sr., 82, of Ringgold, died Monday in a local hospital. He was a retired Policeman and was a member of the Rock Spring Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Verdie E. and Hazel Creel; a brother: James E. Creel, and a granddaughter: Mandie Creel Chitwood.
He is survived by his wife: Barbara A. Lepper Creel, and a son: Dane Creel, Jr.; a daughter: Dawn (Lewis, Jr.) Creel Davis, all of Ringgold; 4 grandchildren: Jake (Lia Bodnar), and Bethany Davis, Trey Davis, all of Ringgold, and Josh Chitwood, Red bank, and a great-grandchild: Dylan Chitwood, Red Bank; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Betty Creel, the Late Bob and Jelly Creel, Don and Sharon Creel, and Dino and Anne Hernandez
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors..
The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Thursday, at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
