Fidencia "Frances" "Fide" DeKock, 90, formerly of Moline, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601 38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to QC Paws.
Frances was born in 1923 in Silvis, the daughter of Ignacio and Leonora Martinez Casillas. She married Joseph Perez in Moline. She later married John B. DeKock in 1960 in Moline, and he preceded her in death in 1982.
Survivors include children, Mona (Mike) DeKock, Jeffrey (Sandy) Perez and Larry (Karen) DeKock; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and siblings, Joe (Elena) Casillas and Christina Medina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Jennifer Smith in March 1988; sisters, Rosie Marks, Ramona Reveles, Connie Lopez and Agnes Oostendorp; brothers, Max (Grace) Casillas, Jess Casillas and Eli Casillas; and loving partner of 15 years, Burt Cobb.
