Phyllis Irene (Auler) Daggett McGown, 73, of Exeter NH, died Dec. 3, 2000, in Portsmouth (NH) Regional Hospital after a period of failing health. She was born March 26, 1927, in Rossford, Ohio, the daughter of the late Peter and Florence (Thompson) Auler. She had resided in Stratham NH for 15 years before moving to Exeter in 1983.
She leaves her daughters Virginia I. Ross and Pamela S. Matson, both of Kingsport TN; sons Dale A. Daggett of Somersworth NH, Fred D. Daggett of Lee NH, Peter G. Daggett of Barrington NH, and Jeremy S. Daggett of Northwood NH; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Fred W. Daggett, who died in 1975, and her second husband, Edward McGown, who died in 1976.
Calling hours will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Exeter Cemetery in Exeter.
