Mr. Thompson was a native of Beaumont, Texas and a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for most of his life. He was a loving husband, stepfather, brother and friend to all who knew him.
Mr. Thompson was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Broussard. He was an avid outdoorsman, and particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Thompson was employed as a salesman in the oilfield and was also the former owner of Affordable Blinds and Shutters.
Survivors include his loving wife of 15 years, Bonnie Bodin Thompson; two step daughters, a sister, a brother, two step grandchildren, and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward Thompson I and Carliss Lombardo Thompson.
