Mrs. L. E. (Lucius Edgar) Wright, 85, mother of Rufus B. Wright of Marshall, died Sunday, night in Texarkana after a lengthy illness.

Funeral arrangements are pending with the East Funeral Home in Texarkana, awaiting the arrival of out-of-town relatives. The services are tentatively set for 3:30 p.m. Wednesday from the East Funeral Home, Burial is to be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Wright, a lifetime resident of Texarkana, was born there on Nov. 17, 1870. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs, F. D. Laws and Mrs. Robert Odle, both of El Paso; Mrs. Nora Cherry of Anchorage, Alaska; and Mrs. Dixon McCain of Texarkana; and two sons, Rufus B. Wright of Marshall and Ray Wright of Texarkana; and a number of grandchildren.
